The specification below is based on the IPerCom IP system which has been developed for small, medium and high volume residential applications where a digital IP door entry solution is required.

The systems main purpose is to allow audio/video communication between visitors to the development and the residents or the concierge.
This system design has been based around Secured by Design certified Urmet IPerCom system products.
The video door entry system shall be IP with each device powered by PoE. Systems that rely on local power alone for IP devices shall not be acceptable.
The system shall combine the advantages of a server-based system in that it shall be possible to configure the system from a single device. The system shall be capable of operating in serverless or server mode. The system shall be capable of being fully configured without having to access all the devices of the system. Configuration files shall be typically less 1MB allowing remote administration.
The system shall be capable of working on an existing network with other IP devices already installed.
The system shall provide two security levels with system administrator and installer having their own password.
All communications between devices shall be encrypted using a proprietary algorithm to prevent attacks to the system.
The system will support multiple PC based Concierge software with no additional licencing costs. The switchboard software shall feature RTSP for the viewing of network CCTV cameras and mapping.
Switchboard PC hardware and software
Minimum requirements are the following:
Processor: 2GHz 32 bit (x86) or 64 bit (x64) (Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional or Ultimate)
RAM: 2GB (32 bit or 64 bit)
Disk space: 16 GB (32 bit) or 20 GB (64 bit) available
Audio card: compatible with 32 or 64 bit Microsoft Windows 7 (Home Premium, Professional or Ultimate)
Video card: compatible with 32 or 64 bit Microsoft Windows 7 (Home Premium, Professional or Ultimate), 1024 x 768 pixel min. resolution
Webcam1: compatible with 32 or 64 bit Microsoft Windows 7 (Home Premium, Professional or Ultimate)
USB port: 1 for the connection of the external handset ref. 1060/41 (optional)
Ethernet interface: 10 / 100 Mbit/s
Call forwarding to mobile app
Users (residents) will be able to make use of a call forwarding to a mobile app service using the building network with an internet connection. No additional hardware shall be required. Call forwarding shall be centrally managed so that the building manager can add/delete users. Systems that allow the user (resident) to manage their own connection shall not be acceptable. The call forwarding app shall be free to download (available for iOS and Android devices).
2 wire integration
The IP system shall be capable of being fully integrated with a 2 wire system by means of a gateway the integrated system shall offer IP digital entry panels with a 2 wire riser and 2 wire video monitors. It shall be possible to mix 2 wire and IP risers in the same installation.
Access control integration
The system shall be fully integrated with the access control system by means of a software interface allowing all events to be managed on a single platform (compatible system IPassan). All door entry and access control events shall be logged and be displayed or accessible via the access control system. The door entry system shall also be capable of lift management with destination for visitors by using the apartment video monitor lock release button.
Elekta Steel video entrance panel
The entrance panel shall be ref 1060/19 Urmet Elekta Steel IPerCom IP stainless steel digital video panel with illuminated keypad and programmable buttons for Trades and Concierge. The panel shall have a 3.5” colour display with user instructions, block name, messages and development logo. The panel shall be secured with security fixings. The panel shall have a wide-angle camera lens and LED camera illumination. The panel shall include an integral proximity reader and coded access keypad. The panel shall be PoE. The panel shall be capable of direct dial calling and block selection, prefix dialling codes will not be acceptable. Use in conjunction with 1060/81 IP relay for SDB compliance. The panel shall be IP45 and IK09 rated.
Max Lite touchscreen monitor
The video entry touchscreen shall be ref 1717/41 Urmet Max Lite IP 7” touchscreen. The video touchscreen shall be powered by Android and have a 7” display with a minimum screen resolution of 1024x600. The video touchscreen shall have one PoE powered LAN port. The video touchscreen shall have an LED home button for notifications. All other functions shall be operated by the touchscreen with no additional visible buttons. The touchscreen shall feature a SD card for custom ring tones and wallpaper. The video touchscreen shall have a local doorbell and a definable alarm input. Minimum software features shall be timed mute, camera snap shots, audio and video recording, chat messaging and lift control. The video touchscreen shall have a DDA mode where large icons and swipe actions can be used. The video touchscreen shall have an induction loop fitted as standard. The video touchscreen shall be capable of forwarding a call to a smartphone or tablet device without the requirement for any additional hardware. The call forwarding function shall not require a license and the app shall free to download from Google Play and the App Store. The video touchscreen shall be manufactured from ABS plastic and finished in gloss white or gloss black. When surface mounted the touchscreen shall not protrude more than 19mm and must fit a standard one gang electrical box. The touchscreen shall have forward facing speaker and microphone as these must be visible when mounting in the flush kit. When mounted using a flush kit the maximum protrusion shall be 5mm. Optional flush kit frames shall be customisable in any colour or finish. The video touchscreen shall be compliant with SIP and RTSP and use video codec H264 and audio codec G711 standards.
